We dodged one bullet with value city remaining open (albeit not the store it used to be) now we get shot in the gut with home depot closing the lake and coliseum store.
they say the store is under performing hence the closure. i once talked to the security head at the lowes down the street this is also lowes least profitable store in fort waye. the reason? theft the state and coliseum store has the highest rate of theft in all lowes stores here in fort wayne. i heard this was the big reason for target south of town closing as well.
im not saying this is why they are closing it but it is something to think about
