A&E has ruined a true classic for me. Andromeda strain aired in full last night on the cable network. I was expecting a remake on the ooriginal perhaps a little more up to date tech wise. instead i was treated to hollywood correctness and rabid liberalism. I just wanted to enjoy a remake not get indoctrinated to the anti war lefts point of view. Is it possible for these people to just let go and make a good movie. After a few references to wmd and how the government cant be trusted i just wanted to puke and change the channel. But i didnt i kept watching and then was enlightened on how great the media is (even though, and this is funny, they all snort coke). I thought the woman fighter pilot was over the top…really…..affirmative action as well. im surprised there were no gay characters.
the whole thing ruined a great ooriginal movie and even better book i dont think michael moor could have done a better job preaching to us.
